Eat More Protein

You probably think that to rev up your metabolism and burn fat, you’ve got to focus on hours of cardio, right? Nope, not even close. By far the best exercises to boost that metabolism and burn fat are high-intensity interval training (HIIT) exercises. This type of exercise involves quick and very intense bursts of activity.

Here’s what a HIIT workout may look like. You’re on the treadmill and you spend five minutes just warming up. Then, you begin your HIIT cycles, so you walk for one minute then turn up the speed and sprint as fast as you can for one minute. Repeat this walk, sprint, walk, sprint cycle for a total of 15-20 minutes, then cool down.

Drink Green Tea or Oolong Tea

Both green tea and oolong tea have been shown in studies to increase metabolism by 4-5%. Consider replacing your regular coffee or tea consumption with one of these metabolism-boosting teas.
